First off I would like to say Happy 5th Birthday to Hangry Hannah! I am so proud of myself for being semi-consistent with posting on this website. More than anything it has been a fun outlet for writing and sharing my cooking!
The first recipe of the year that I would like to share is a recipe made known to me by my Uncle. He would make these Hanky Panky’s every year as an appetizer for Christmas. I had these “trailer trash hors’ devours” (his words not mine) once a year and they were one of my favorite things! They are simple but effective, the perfect finger foods for your next get-together.
Ingredients
- 1 LB Ground Beef
- 1 LB Hot Sausage
- 1 LB Velveeta, cubed [My store only had slices so I used the whole pack]
- 1 TSP Soy Sauce
- 2 TSP Dijon Mustard
- 1 TSP Oregano
- 1/2 TSP Garlic Salt
- 1/2 TSP Salt
- 1 Loaf Party Rye Bread

Let’s Get Cooking
Cook the ground beef and hot sausage in a large skillet over MED heat. Cook until it’s cooked through and it’s broken up. Strain off the extra grease and place it back into the skillet.
Add in the Velveeta and mix well until the cheese is melted and well combined.
Add in the soy sauce + dijon + oregano + garlic salt + salt.
Preheat your broiler to HIGH
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and rye bread slices.
Place a TBSP scoop of the mixture onto each slice of rye. Broil until bubbly and the edges catch, about 2-3 minutes.
Make sure you let them cool before shoving 2 into your mouth.
Made with Love,
Hannah

Lol I love the name!
